When you approach an OBGYN with fertility challenges and she says “nothing is impossible”, you know you’ve found the right doctor! I had seen a few other gynae’s before her who all seemed very nonchalant about my concerns and took on a dismissive approach which only left me feeling frustrated, unseen and unheard. When we went to see Dr Deo after almost a year of trying to conceive, she took us seriously. She presented and explained the options we had while giving her full, unbiased support to whatever we chose. After choosing a treatment path together she went in guns blazing and left no stone unturned to identify the cause of infertility. My history of endometriosis and adhesions, my newly diagnosed polycystic ovarian syndrome and my severe anxiety were no match for Dr Deo and her team. Shortly after beginning treatment our prayers were answered and I became pregnant for the first time. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw those 2 pink lines I immediately contacted Dr Deo with the good news. “Nobody told me the road would be easy” as I was soon to learn. My pregnancy was a complicated one and I became a high risk patient. Threatened miscarriage, blood pressure abnormalities, hyperemesis gravidarum resulting in malnutrition and dehydration, and a pulmonary embolism that landed me in ICU…this was the 30 weeks that followed, and just when we thought we were through the worst, Coronavirus hit and shook our entire world changing our birth plans and forcing us into a new “normal” regarding antenatal visits, precautions to be taken and everything else. Yet throughout the uncertain times in which we all found ourselves, I’ve never felt more supported because Dr Deo held my hand through it all. On 26th May 2020 at 16:33 with Dr Deo and an amazing team by our side, we welcomed a healthy, strong and loud baby boy who arrived with a resounding cry and grabbing everything around him. Dr Deo (Ous Tebogo as I affectionately call her) is not God…but she was definitely sent by Him and I’m eternally grateful for the blessing that she is in our lives. Thank you…for everything! On the 9th of July 2016 we met Dr Deo for the first time through a friend. She welcomed us with love, a smile, and displayed professionalism. We had already lost hope because we had been to many specialists before with no luck. We had tried everything that one could ever think of but we were unfortunate. There were so many surgeries before which were performed to no luck. Dr Deo was our last hope and also last resort. We explained our story, our journey, our pain and our experience to her of which she assured and challenged us to have faith and we did. We started a journey with her since that day, all we can say is that we saw an unending love, patience, encouragement and commitment. She went as far as praying for us for the success of everything that we were doing. Today it gives us pleasure and joy to inform everyone that we that we are proud parents of two healthy and beautiful prince and princess, thanks to Dr Deo and her wonderful
team.

I have been going to Dr Deo as from December 2016 and I am grateful for her service. I had a problem of miscarriages, in December 2016, it was my seventh pregnancy with 2 children alive and I was five months pregnant when the specialist that I was using since the 1 st month of my pregnancy when he told me that there is nothing that he can do I must go home and wait for the day of miscarriage and must go back to him so that he can clean my womb, that was so painful to know that I am going lose your child. I prayed to God that I have done everything, I put my trust in Him and that He must change the situation that I was in. I went to the doctor that they said it’s a good specialist in Vaal and there was no hope. When my Spiritual mother discovered that I was pregnant again she referred me to Dr T Deo (Gynaecologist). I am so grateful to have met Dr Deo who is a God fearing women. What I like about her before each procedure she prays to God for guidance. Around 2018 July I consulted a gynaecologist with suspicion I had reoccurring ovarian cysts. During the consultation my husband and I were informed it’s much more serious than a cyst, I had a gigantic tumor on my left ovary and was booked for an operation. The tumor was removed I was thrilled now my husband and I could continue with the rest of our lives because at the time we were newly weds. We received a called from the doctor to come and remove the stitches two days before the agreed date, which we found very odd but didn’t think much of it. We got to the doctor’s office by the looks on his face we knew he had to tell us something serious: “your tumor was sent to the lab to be tested and you have borderline malignant tumor” and he also made an appointment with the oncologist. My world was shattered. I just got married and I might die from ovarian cancer, childless, there I was thinking to my self at the oncologist reception area. I was in between doctors and also had to undergo C.T scans and M.R.I, I was a regular at the hospital. After few check ups I was back again at a gynaecologist who suggested I should urgently do a I.V.F which is not covered by medical aid and cost R80 000 in cash, then he can remove the womb . At this point I had lost all hope but I needed a second opinion before taking such drastic measures. I was referred to Dr Tebogo Deo who ticked all the boxes: attentive, analytical, gracious, passionate and trustworthy. She handled our issue with utmost sensitivity. With the given medical history, removing the womb was not on the table, IVF was on hold while we wanted to try for artificial insemination. When my periods were late I assumed my cycle had changed. We were pregnant without any other procedures performed. Jehovah must have been residing in Dr Deo office, happy was an understatement. We always looked forward to seeing her. I was since cleared, no tumors, and we are blessed with a healthy, beautiful baby girl named Nkazimulo Hlulani. Revelation 4:11 ”You are worthy, Jehovah our God, to receive the glory/nkazimulo and the honour and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will
they came into existence and were created”.

My name is Dineo. I am 35 years old. In 2017 i was pregnant and lost the baby at 6 months. My journey with Dr Deo started in 2018. I attended a social event where I overhead about her. The ladies were talking about how she helped with their fertility journey. I then made an appointment to go see her. My 1st consultation took place for about 2 hour where she listened to each and every detail. The session was a therapy for me because of how I connected with the Doctor. I then went for blood tests, the aim was to establish the cause of previous miscarriage. When the results came out my hormones were not on my side. The chance to conceive natural was about 10%. She explained to me that It will be difficult to conceive naturally. Dr Deo put me on medication for some time. I kept seeing her for consultations. On the 29th of July 2019 I found out I was pregnant. My pregnancy journey was also not a smooth one, but Dr.Deo tried her level best to keep me and the baby safe. I was admitted at the hospital for a couple of times during my pregnancy. Eventually I gave birth at 37 weeks on the 03.03.2020. The labour experience was the best. Dr Deo and team including the Pedestrian and Anaesthetist made me feel relaxed and safe. I wouldn’t mind giving birth over and over again. I gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby boy Neo. I just want to take this opportunity to thank Dr Deo and her team. God bless!
